Stenungsund municipality is an expanding coastal municipality with approximately 28,030 inhabitants, a strong business community, residential environments close to the sea, and good communication opportunities. The municipality is organized into an administration with four sectors. The Social Services Sector includes four operations: special housing/municipal health and medical care, individual and family care, ordinary housing/personal assistance, and disabilities.

Personal assistants provide support and service according to the users' needs and wishes in their homes. The daily activities are governed by the individual's specific needs, conditions, and desires.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you have a genuine interest in working to support individuals in their lives so that they experience a meaningful everyday life in their homes? As a personal assistant, you will be involved in the user's daily life and support the person in living the life they want to live. You will be very important to the person you work for!

The tasks vary depending on the user's needs, conditions, and wishes. You will contribute to strengthening the individual's opportunity to actively participate in community life and live and reside under safe conditions. The tasks can involve everything from assistance with meals, personal hygiene, dressing/undressing, and maintaining the home to enabling the user to engage in leisure interests, work, socialize with friends, or accompany them on trips.

Your work aims to promote the user's integrity, self-determination, and participation in society according to the Act on Special Service Intentions. This means that the tasks vary among different users.

The tasks include documentation in our operational systems.

Working in social services means that you perform interventions according to the Act on Special Service (LSS), care, and support interventions, and carry out health and medical tasks by delegation.

You will receive a good introduction with shadowing to create security for you when performing your tasks with us this summer. If the work requires medication management, you will be called for training.

The working hours are varied and scheduled. Your working hours will be allocated during the day, evening, and every other weekend. We also have night shifts. Exact times vary depending on where you will work. Some workplaces have 24-hour shifts with sleeping on-call.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a positive outlook, initiative, good problem-solving skills, and a genuine interest in working with people. You should be engaged with good collaboration skills and a pleasant demeanor. You should be able to work both independently and closely with colleagues or relatives.

Requirements for the position:

• You must master the Swedish language in speech and writing; being multilingual is an advantage.
• You have a B driver's license.

It is advantageous if you are in training/educated as a nursing assistant or educator, or have work experience in care and support.
