Registered Nurse for the Brain Stimulation Unit
With us, you will work daytime, Monday to Friday, combining your skills in somatic care and psychiatry.
Are you a licensed nurse with an interest in adult psychiatry and want to combine this with your somatic knowledge? Are you looking for new challenges and have an interest in modern and exciting care? Then you could be a new colleague in our stable team at the Brain Stimulation Unit!
The Brain Stimulation Unit is part of Psychiatry North West (PNV) and is an outpatient facility located at Danderyd Hospital, just north of Stockholm. We perform medical treatments in the form of ECT, r-TMS, and esketamine treatment (Spravato) for patients in both outpatient and inpatient care, and participate in various development and research projects. We offer information and training initiatives to staff and students at the clinic and provide medical services at the nursing level, such as IV insertion and blood sampling for difficult-to-stick patients.
Our team consists of five nurses, a unit manager, and a medically responsible chief physician.
We are now looking for a nurse who wants to become part of our team and, like us, places great importance on a good working environment and the development of the business. The work involves working in a research and development-intensive environment where new treatment techniques are used in the field, which is why training and continuous education takes place regularly.
Job Responsibilities
Your job responsibilities consist of outpatient work such as contact with care neighbors, record-keeping, and booking patients. You will also insert IVs, administer medications, and monitor the patient's recovery after anesthesia. With us, it is the nurses who perform the treatments, which is why you will also receive training in the various treatment forms with associated assessment instruments to eventually be able to work independently. This is done in close collaboration with the medically responsible physician.
Employment Type
Permanent employment 100% (40 hours/week) with daytime work, Monday to Friday.
Qualifications
Licensed nurse. A specialist nurse in psychiatric care is an advantage but not a requirement.
Personal Qualities
To thrive with us, you should have a genuine interest in psychiatric care and brain stimulation and can see yourself in the role of a specialist in the field. You need to enjoy working independently and have knowledge in both psychiatric and somatic care, as well as being driven by development.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Other Information
Start date according to agreement. Interviews may be conducted continuously during the advertising period.
We warmly welcome your application and look forward to getting to know you! The position will be filled provided it is not needed for internal relocation, according to applicable regulations.
