Birger Jarls Gymnasium is looking for a school nurse for a parental substitute position of 4 months with the possibility of extension. The role involves being one of the participants in the school's student health team (EHT) and performing the medical interventions of student health.

The assignment involves collaboration with students, guardians, staff, as well as organizations and authorities outside the school.

You will work together with others in the student health team and in collaboration with the school management to create the best possible conditions for students' health, development, and learning. You will be required to document in Prorenata and should therefore have experience with this system.

The assignment includes the usual tasks associated with the role in preventive and health-promoting work.

You are expected to be independent in your work but also able to collaborate with the school's teachers, others in student health, and school management.

The position is 20% - one day/week.

About you:

You are a school nurse with medical competence, through, for example, specialist nurse training in Health and Medical Care for Children and Youth, District Nurse, or the School Nurse Program at the University of Skövde, or other relevant education and/or experience.

You are communicative, attentive, and have good collaboration skills, and you work independently with planning, prioritization, structure, and follow-up. In addition to medical competencies, you should have a strong student focus.

You should have previous experience working in a school, preferably from a high school setting.

Birger Jarls Gymnasium in Stockholm started in the autumn of 2018. The school currently has just under 300 students.

The school offers two higher education preparatory programs:

- The Economic Program with specializations in economics and law.

- The Social Science Program with specializations in social science and behavior.
