Torsvik Health Center is looking for a care assistant with a protected professional title certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or for those studying to become a nurse or doctor who want to work as a care assistant and wish to work with us this summer in home care.

Torsvik Health Center is located in a beautiful environment close to water and good transport links.

We are a well-staffed workplace with several different professional roles – doctors, district nurses, nurses, care assistants, medical secretaries, and a psychosocial team. We have a good and close collaboration within the organization where high-quality care is our top priority.

We are a well-functioning home care team where we continuously work with quality and continuity. We have about 150 registered patients in our home care, divided into seven home care areas where each area has a nurse and a care assistant who have overall responsibility for the patient. We have very low staff turnover, and there are always colleagues to support during the summer. We offer a solid introduction before the summer. We have two permanent home care doctors who are specialists in general medicine.

Job Description:

Working as a care assistant in home care at Torsvik Health Center involves the usual tasks for a care assistant - including wound dressings, medical technical procedures (such as catheter care) and medication administration. In home care, you work with great freedom under responsibility where you plan your day and its interventions yourself.

Requirements:

• Care assistant with a certificate for a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or for care assistants, nursing students who have completed at least semester 4 and medical students who have completed at least semester 5.
• You need to have very good knowledge of the Swedish language.
• Driver's license B.
• Previous work experience in primary care, especially home care.

Employment Type:

Summer substitute employment/Intermittent employment (Hourly employment). Working hours Monday to Friday. Start date according to agreement.

You need to be flexible, responsible, service-oriented, and have an easy time collaborating as well as working both independently and in a team. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, commitment, accuracy, and good collaboration skills. You drive your own work but also want to contribute to the whole at the health center and develop the organization together with us.

You should be stress-resistant and able to keep many balls in the air at the same time, be unpretentious, and provide the best service to both patients and colleagues, communicative, and it is a must that you are self-driven and goal- and result-oriented.
