Resident Physicians in Thoracic Surgery

About the position
We are one of the largest thoracic surgical units in the country and provide highly specialized care in close collaboration with research and education. The unit is characterized by expertise in minimally invasive cardiac and lung surgery as well as advanced aortic surgery, including thoracoabdominal procedures. The unit conducts extensive research and educational activities focusing on surgical techniques and long-term follow-up of patients who have undergone thoracic surgery.
We are now looking for two resident physicians, one focusing on cardiac surgery and one on general thoracic surgery/lung surgery. As a resident physician with us, you will play a central role in the development of care for patients undergoing cardiac and lung surgical procedures. You will work clinically with surgical assistance, on-call duties, and ward work, while actively contributing to the development of work methods, training of colleagues, and participation in research activities within the framework of our clinical mission.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Swedish medical license
Meritorious:
- Experience in thoracic surgical practice
- Experience in research and teaching.
