Welcome to us

The procurement area plays an important role in the city's work to use public procurement as a tool to drive societal development in a sustainable direction.

With us, there are specialists in all parts of the procurement process. We currently have over 65 employees, including the head of operations and unit managers for the units of property-related services, goods, services, and operational support.

We have recently introduced a category-based procurement organization and now need to strengthen our teams for services and property-related services with two to three procurement officers. We are looking for someone who wants to work with procurements that make a real difference.

Your role

As a procurement officer, you drive the entire process from planning to completed contract. You are an important link between the business and suppliers. Your goal is to deliver procurements that result in contracts with the right quality and where the procurement contributes to sound business practices and cost-effectiveness. You collaborate closely with your procurement colleagues, contract managers, and system administrators for e-commerce.

The role includes conducting procurements of various kinds, such as overarching City of Stockholm procurements, as well as acting as an internal consultant to carry out customer-specific procurements for individual administrations and companies. You provide advice and support on procurement and purchasing issues to the city's employees and participate in networks for procurement officers.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • at least five years of experience as a procurement officer conducting public procurements primarily concerning services
  • good familiarity with a complex procurement process, from needs and risk analysis to contract signing
  • education in procurement/purchasing, economics/law, or equivalent relevant experience that we assess as equivalent
  • very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • experience of driving procurements in a project-like manner as a procurement officer
  • broad experience in procurement across several different areas
  • experience in category-based purchasing/procurement.

For one of the positions, it is advantageous if you have experience in property-related services, preferably with knowledge and experience in AB, ABT, ABK, and AFF.

You work in a structured manner and independently drive your processes forward to ensure that agreed timelines are met. You are genuinely interested in understanding our customers' needs and how procurements can best meet these. You have a business-oriented and positive attitude and see opportunities where others may see challenges. You collaborate well with others and understand the importance of building trusting relationships. To succeed in the role, you need to easily analyze information flows, see connections, and make decisions.

The Service Administration is one of the city's administrative agencies and is responsible for the administrative tasks coordinated in the city. This primarily involves payroll administration, financial administration, city-wide procurement issues, contact center operations, and internal consultants providing support in digitalization, IT & telecommunications, recruitment, as well as property and local issues.
