Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding job in a homely environment? We are now seeking a support pedagogue for a position at Villa Haglösa, an LSS group home for children and young people located outside Trelleborg, in the small village of Haglösa.
About the role As a support pedagogue, you will work alongside your colleagues in direct contact with the users. Additionally, you will drive and apply Nytida's framework for pedagogy and contribute to the design of personalized pedagogy for the users. This is to support the users in utilizing their cognitive and social abilities, strengthening their self-esteem, and enabling a health-promoting life by acting as a role model and motivating them towards wellness. Together with other staff, you will work towards making the day meaningful and enriching, performing care-related tasks, ensuring pleasant facilities, and participating in activities with the users. You will also mentor and support staff in social documentation and implementation plans, guide new employees, and collaborate with the operations manager on development projects. You will report to the Operations Manager.
The working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call.
About the unit Villa Haglösa is a residential home for children and young people where individuals with autism, autism spectrum disorders, or intellectual disabilities reside. The home is located in a small village, nestled in a quiet, nature-friendly area.
We work individually tailored based on Nytida's pedagogical framework, which is built on low-arousal responses, clear pedagogical methods, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
The working method is individualized to ensure that each resident has the best conditions for quality of life, participation, self-determination, and meaningfulness. With calmness, security, and structure, and by building pedagogy on strengths and dreams, we create good conditions for the individual.
Your experience and knowledge You are an educated support pedagogue from a vocational college or have relevant higher education. You have good computer skills, experience in documentation, and strong proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. Additional requirements include experience working with the LSS target group.
As a person, you have a positive outlook and a strong commitment to people. You are responsible, meticulous, and enjoy working in a team. You are happy to share your experiences and support colleagues in pedagogy, documentation, and interactions.
