Do you want to be a part of Region Jämtland Härjedalen – a region to long for and grow in? With us, you contribute to development and growth throughout the county and work to provide the best possible service, care, and support for everyone living in or visiting the region.

We offer a work environment characterized by collaboration, participation, and engagement, where both breadth and specialist competence are valued. Here you have the opportunity to develop in your role, whether you are new to the profession or have long experience.

Primary Care

Primary care is organized into 4 local care areas and since January 2022, primary care and ambulance services have been integrated under good and close care. Each local care area is an economic unit led by a manager. Primary care is also responsible for the region's medical advice, youth clinic, and the local care department Näva, all of which are grant-funded. Within the primary care area, there is a good research climate and it has the status of a university hospital unit.

Lugnvik Health Center is located just outside the city center, near Storsjö, with opportunities for great running routes, cycling trips, or ice skating in the winter. We have a high ceiling, a good atmosphere where we help each other, and we want to create a good work environment together. Currently, we have just over 7,500 registered patients, about 40 employees, and two unit managers in shared leadership. Here you will find 9 specialists in general medicine, one ST doctor, and one AT doctor. The team also includes district nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, psychologists, social workers, rehabilitation coordinators, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. In the same building, there is also a midwifery clinic, maternity care, and child health care. We are responsible for two SÄBO.

We want to be at the forefront and constantly develop. Within primary care in the region, there is a very good research climate. Our R&D unit can assist with support and scientific guidance together with primarily Umeå University. Welcome to us!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your tasks include both planned consultations and emergency care. You will meet primary care's mixed patient groups - everything from patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart failure to patients in acute need of care.

This position is under ST-like conditions, and you can thus credit your employment time towards a possible ST. There may also be opportunities for continued employment as an ST doctor.

QUALIFICATIONS

To apply for this position, a medical license and C-level proficiency in Swedish are required. It is an advantage if you have completed Swedish AT and have previous experience in primary care. If you do not have previous experience in primary care, you should be curious and interested in trying out primary care in preparation for a possible upcoming ST.

We are looking for someone who is engaged, curious, and wants to develop primary care. Since the position can lead to an offer as an ST doctor with us, it is important that you are interested in primary care.

As a person, you are loyal and secure in your work approach towards patients. You have a positive attitude and take great responsibility for your tasks in an independent manner, and you ask questions to learn. We value that you have a good demeanor, are easy to collaborate with, and enjoy working in a team.
