About the Positions

ST-Physician

As an ST-physician in obstetrics and gynecology, you will work with standard tasks in the gynecological ward and delivery ward as well as in outpatient care. You will also be part of the on-call service. Together, we will create a training program for you as an ST-physician, and the clinic actively works with supervision and regular evaluation of your personal development.

Specialist Physician/Consultant

As a specialist physician, you will be part of the primary on-call team and work with both obstetrics and gynecology, although most of your work will be in obstetrics. The position involves standard work at the delivery clinic as well as at our specialist-MVC clinics in Falkenberg, Varberg, and Kungsbacka. In Varberg, we start deliveries from week 34+6. We work closely with the delivery unit in Halmstad, where we send expected premature deliveries and deliveries where we anticipate a need for neonatal care. We have an on-call neonatologist on site but no ward.

If you are competent in back-up duties, you are welcome to apply for a consultant position, which involves daytime work in the delivery unit, obstetric outpatient care, or maternal health care, as well as participation in the back-up team.

About the Workplace

The Women's Clinic Halland is divided into two locations: Halmstad and Varberg. The clinics are of similar size and have a common operations manager; each location has a chief physician. The Women's Clinic Halland has just under 4,000 deliveries per year evenly distributed between Halmstad and Varberg. In gynecology, we have similar operations regarding surgery, robotic surgery, oncology, and regular outpatient services. Both locations have wards for elective and emergency care. A neonatal ward is available in Halmstad. We also have operations in women's health care in northern Halland.

Qualifications

ST-Physician: We are looking for a licensed physician with a strong interest in obstetrics and gynecology and a desire to develop knowledge and skills in this field. Previous experience working in a women's clinic is an advantage. You are responsible and have the ability to collaborate as well as work independently. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Specialist Physician/Consultant: We primarily seek you who are a specialist physician or consultant with an obstetric profile. We see that you have a strong interest in wanting to develop, and we find it natural that you also share your knowledge with the organization. We strongly value the patient perspective. As a person, you are responsible and have the ability to work both independently and in a team. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
