Support Assistants/Caregivers for Functional Support at Lindesberg Municipality

We are currently looking for 1-3 support assistants/caregivers for Functional Support at Lindesberg Municipality. Today, there are 15 operations within functional support; group homes, service housing, short-term care, daily activities, and several personal assistance groups. Lindesberg Municipality is a smoke-free workplace.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In our group and service homes within LSS, adults with disabilities live in their own apartments and have the opportunity for social interaction in shared spaces. We create conditions for safety, personal development, and good living conditions by offering support and services to individuals. The individual's right to participation and co-determination is a cornerstone in the work with people with disabilities and permeates all operations. Due to the close work with individuals, there are high demands on staff's respect for the person's integrity and empowerment. Tasks that may occur include support with personal care, usual household chores, support during leisure activities, and assistance in daily routines. The staff group consists of support assistants and caregivers. The positions include day/evening/weekend shifts, and in some operations, on-call duty as well.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are engaged, empathetic, and secure in yourself with a great ability to read what is required in different situations. You need to have great flexibility in your working methods as your tasks vary from day to day. Creating and following routines and structures for and with the individual is essential in the work with people with disabilities, which requires you to be able to set boundaries and be the individual's safety.

You are educated in a caring profession, for example, as a nursing assistant or caregiver, or have equivalent training. Experience working in services for people with physical and mental disabilities is an advantage.

A B driver's license is required, and a manual transmission is an advantage.
