We are looking for dedicated and flexible nursing assistants with a strong interest in maternity care.

The obstetrics and gynecology department operates at Örebro University Hospital, Lindesberg and Karlskoga hospitals. We actively work to develop research in women's health care.

At Örebro University Hospital, there is an obstetric section with specialist maternal care and fetal diagnostics, a delivery ward, and postnatal care. The gynecological section provides outpatient, inpatient, and emergency gynecological care. There is also a fertility unit and an operating room.

Örebro University Hospital (USÖ) is one of the three acute hospitals in the county where we provide advanced medical care, research, and education. In both 2020 and 2019, USÖ received the prestigious award for Best University Hospital from Dagens Medicin. USÖ won the most significant category for medical quality, had the best results in accessibility, economy, and in avoiding pressure ulcers and overcrowding. As a nursing assistant with us, you will work alongside other nursing assistants and midwives in patient-centered care. We place great emphasis on quality and patient safety, where you have significant personal responsibility. Contributing to a calm environment in the delivery room and fostering a positive team spirit with relatives is something we see as essential. The work includes nursing tasks, kitchen responsibilities, cleaning, and some inventory management. You are focused, enjoy varying tempos, and can prioritize. You show care for patients and their relatives and are a good colleague. In the departments, nursing assistants, midwives, and doctors work together with access to, among others, a social worker. Depending on your skills and interests, you may also be offered individual assignments. As an employee with us, you will participate in a mentorship program for experience exchange and guidance, and we offer internal training days so you can grow in your professional role.

We welcome you who are a trained nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on emergency care according to the previous program structure, or are a trained nursing assistant within the current program structure. To assess employability, transcripts of your nursing education and proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare regarding protected professional title must be attached to your application. Experience in women's health care is an advantage. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
