Sports Reporter Wanted for Temporary Position at Norrköping Tidningar
Be part of writing Norrköping's biggest sports stories. We are now looking for a sports reporter for a longer temporary position!
After falling from the Allsvenskan, IFK Norrköping will seek to find new footing in Superettan in 2026, while playoffs in both ice hockey and basketball await in the spring. Do you want to work in a dynamic sports city with crises, setbacks, comebacks, and successes? Do you want to cover what happens on the field, but also tell why it matters?
If so, you might be the one we are looking for. Norrköping Tidningar is now seeking a sports reporter for a longer temporary position from January to August 2026.
At NT, we cover Norrköping, Finspång, Söderköping, and Valdemarsvik, and the editorial team includes departments for sports, news, and investigative journalism. Together, we are first on the scene when it happens, explain why, and dig into what needs to be revealed.
About the Role
As a sports reporter at NT, you will work closely with events in and around Norrköping. You will cover training sessions and matches, scrutinize the power holders in sports, and tell the stories of the people behind the results.
Our sports editorial team consists of four reporters and a planning manager who together cover both the major teams and the life behind the successes and youth initiatives on the way there. You will develop alongside skilled storytellers and experienced news reporters, as well as in collaboration with the video manager.
The work has a clear digital focus where the reader is always at the center.
Your Responsibilities
- Writing news, interviews, and reports.
- Covering and reporting from training sessions and matches.
- Working with live reporting, photography, and video material.
- Packaging content for the website and social media.
- Contributing your own ideas and independent news work.
We are looking for someone who can take responsibility and contribute directly to the daily work, but who also wants to develop as a sports journalist.
We Believe You:
- Have a journalism degree or equivalent experience.
- Have worked with sports journalism or have a strong interest in the field.
- Are curious, self-driven, and full of ideas.
- Are stylistically confident and easily build trust with new contacts.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with evening and weekend work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or interest in covering basketball and/or ice hockey.
- Experience with podcast formats.
- Familiarity with digital storytelling on social media.
A valid driver's license is required as driving is part of the job.
We are a values-driven company that strives for equality and diversity.
Selection and interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
