Summer Interns Wanted at Norrköping Tidningar

Do you want to work with local journalism as Sweden goes to the polls? Norrköping Tidningar is now looking for summer interns for local newsrooms as well as the news and sports editorial teams.

NT is Sweden's oldest daily newspaper, founded in 1758. Today, we are a digitally focused newsroom that has undergone significant development in recent years – especially in digital publishing and social media – and that journey continues. Our ambition is to be the leading local news provider and an independent, relevant societal actor in Norrköping, Söderköping, Finspång, and Valdemarsvik. We scrutinize those in power, explain societal issues, and guide our readers in their daily lives.

During a summer internship with us, you will work in a creative environment, help investigate important societal issues, and capture local buzz. You will be part of the team from day one and have a group of engaged and helpful colleagues.

During the summer, we need reporters for all departments of the newspaper.

At NT's newsroom, there is also NTM Desk, which monitors events for several of NTM Media's smaller titles during evenings, weekends, and nights. This is a job for a reporter who likes to be first, is good at quickly obtaining information, and can juggle many tasks at once.

Many of our journalists started as summer interns and continued their development at the newsroom – but the summer internship is just as suitable for you if you already have experience and want to work with us for a period.

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in local journalism who wants to contribute to relevant, credible, and engaging reporting. We seek reporters with different profiles and competencies.

You:

• Have a journalism degree or equivalent work experience.
• Are curious, responsible, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• Can work independently but also function well in a team.
• Have good language skills and journalistic judgment.

It is advantageous if you:

• Have worked at a news desk or in fast-paced publishing environments.
• Have experience with visual storytelling or working with social media.

In your application, we would like you to specify which area or role you are most interested in and whether you are applying for a position at one of our local newsrooms or the sports editorial team.

A driving license (B) is required as driving is part of the job.
