The Gastroenterology clinic's ward treats patients within the liver and gastrointestinal disease area in need of both medical and surgical care.

Together with the Surgical Clinic, we have a national mission for highly specialized care (NHV) in reconstructive surgery for patients with inflammatory bowel disease. We also care for patients with endocrine diseases such as diabetes and other hormone-related conditions.

Are you newly graduated? We want to give you as a newly graduated nurse a safe and strong start in your professional role. Therefore, we offer an extended, tailored introduction where you receive support from an experienced mentor and gradually take responsibility for the care team. During the introduction period, practical work is alternated with continuous study days, carefully adapted to our patient groups' needs, so that you can build a solid theoretical foundation.

At the same time, you will have the opportunity to participate in training and internships within the clinic's various operations. This gives you a unique chance to deepen your knowledge of our clinic-specific diseases and understand the whole of our operations – all to ensure you feel secure and well-prepared when you step into your new profession.

Job Description

As a nurse with us, you will have a fun and stimulating job where you constantly develop. You will work with patients who have inflammatory bowel diseases, both during medical treatment and in the surgical pre- and postoperative phases. This means that you will follow the patient through large parts of the disease process and create a close and secure care relationship.

In working with patients with liver diseases, you will encounter complex and varying care needs, making the work both challenging and rewarding. You will also take responsibility for hospitalized patients with newly diagnosed diabetes, giving you the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in diabetes care and truly make a difference for the patients.

As a nurse at our clinic, you are offered good opportunities for professional development, where competence enhancement and further education are given high priority. Many of our nurses combine their tasks on the ward with efforts within our day care operations and/or our outpatient clinic. This combination of tasks is highly valued and ensures continuous and coordinated care for both staff and patients.

About You

You are a licensed nurse, and if you have an interest in gastrointestinal diseases, liver diseases, diabetes, endocrine diseases, surgery, nutrition, and pain, it is an advantage.

We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills who actively contributes to a positive and professional work environment. You are meticulous, quality-conscious, and show a strong commitment to the development of the business. As a person, you are flexible, see opportunities in change, and work in a structured manner with the ability to plan and prioritize your tasks effectively.

This is a permanent position at 100%. We also offer temporary positions. Rotation day/evening/night is included.
