The Team
Our team, “Central functional safety at GTT” is in the heart of a great transformation. We work with developing and designing vehicle functional safety concepts, supporting all product streams across GTT to do HARA, FSC, TSC, joint review with suppliers, and ensure compliance of our development process and product to state of the arts such as ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 (SOTIF) as well as AD standards such as UL 4600.
As group manager for the team you will be part of the central cybersecurity and functional safety management team and will be involved in both process and product development. This includes all levels of product development from participating in strategic planning for the group, partner/suppliers’ selection, and reviewing Functional Safety Statement of Work.
You will also act as product owner for the team and ensure the delivery of the team.
Main responsibilities entailed in this role:
- Leading and continuously developing the people in the group to deliver according to committed deliveries
- Creating a strategic action plan and achieving the outlined objectives
- Creating a strategic roadmap for the team
- Coaching team members in daily activities and securing necessary prerequisites for a successful execution of responsibilities and their personal development
- Participating in relevant concept selections and creating an environment of knowledge sharing
- Being responsible for the budget & cost estimates of the team and also representing the department in large for certain initiatives
- Working closely with our colleagues in Functional safety and Cybersecurity to secure development

As a person, you have a broad technical know-how combined with very good people skills and a strong belief in agile methods. You have a strong ability to inspire, develop, and motivate individuals and teams. You should have previous experience of working within the automotive industry and also functional safety according to ISO 26262.
Required qualifications:
- PhD or Master of Science in Computer Science, Electronics or equivalent
- Previous experience from line or project management
- Documented experience in at least one of these areas: functional safety concept design or E/E architect design
- Knowledge within functional safety work according to ISO 26262 is a plus
- Experience in agile methods
