Ward 3 is an internal medicine ward with a wide spectrum. Here, patients with complex and often serious diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, lung diseases, and infectious diseases are cared for, making the work both challenging and educational. We have 18 care places with the possibility of telemetry monitoring. The ward is divided into three care teams, each responsible for six patients.

As a nursing assistant with us, you, along with the team, are responsible for providing good care with patients and relatives at the center. The team consists of nursing assistants, nurses, doctors, and other professionals. We support each other throughout the work shift and cherish a culture of cooperation, care, joy, and respect. You will receive training in basic hygiene routines, medical technical equipment, and CPR. Internal training related to the care provided is offered continuously.

Requirements:

• Degree from the Health and Care Program or equivalent relevant education.

Meritorious:

• Previous work experience in acute or internal medicine inpatient care.

• You have good collaboration skills and a positive attitude
• You are a self-driven person who takes responsibility for your tasks
• You are empathetic, humble, and service-oriented in your approach

Information about the Job Title

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected job title (https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/underskoterska-blir-en-skyddad-yrkestitel/). This means that you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant in care and nursing.

You can apply for the certificate from July 1, 2023. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in care and nursing, but with a different title than nursing assistant. For those offered a job with us in Region Dalarna after July 1, this means that the title in your employment contract will be Care Assistant until you can present your certificate. Those who had a permanent position with the title nursing assistant when the new regulations came into force on July 1, 2023, can continue to use the nursing assistant title for 10 years. You can keep the title even if you change workplace/employer after July 1. After that, you will need a certificate of protected job title to use the title nursing assistant.
