The habilitation is a county-wide specialist service located in five locations in Dalarna. Each unit has a county-wide Adult Habilitation and Child and Youth Habilitation with cross-professional teams with medical, psychological, social, and educational expertise. The habilitation has an important and challenging mission to make life more possible for children, adolescents, and adults with congenital or early-acquired disabilities, as well as for their relatives. The interventions should contribute to a functioning daily life, good quality of life, and participation in society. We are now looking for a physiotherapist for Borlänge or Falun. Do you, as a physiotherapist, want an exciting assignment where you work with patients who have various types and often extensive disabilities? Many patients you will follow for a long time, thus having the opportunity to get to know your patients and plan and follow up on interventions long-term together with them.

Physiotherapist, Adult Habilitation Borlänge and Falun Job Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include prescribing assistive devices and follow-ups, preventive treatment interventions, advice and guidance to the patient's daily network, assessments of functional ability, and much more. As a physiotherapist, you primarily focus on movement impairments. This occurs in close consultation with the patient, relatives, and other professional groups within the team. You will assess, initiate treatment, and follow up on the patient's motor functions and development in the patient's various environments. You provide interventions to help the patient maintain, develop, and/or compensate for physical abilities. You will also be able to participate in training sessions based on the wishes and needs of our users. You will collaborate with other healthcare providers and municipal services, among others. You will be offered an introduction, access to a mentor within the profession, and a workplace mentor. The professional group also has professional teams every week with physiotherapist/physiotherapy colleagues in the county that contribute to your development. Working as a physiotherapist suits you if you want to work long-term with patients and in teams with several other professions. You will learn a lot about different diagnoses and sometimes rare health conditions. Working in habilitation means constantly learning new things and developing in your profession. Requirements:

• Licensed physiotherapist
• Valid B driver's license (travel is required in the position)

Meritorious:

• Experience in the profession
• Experience/knowledge of various disabilities
