In Alingsås and Vårgårda Rescue Service Association, we are proud of our vital mission focusing on saving lives and property as well as working preventively in our two member municipalities, Alingsås and Vårgårda. The association consists of a full-time station in Alingsås and two RiB stations in Vårgårda and Sollebrunn, and we have 100 employees.

AVRF is a rescue service that is and will be at the forefront in all areas of operation, and we are now making an investment to strengthen and further develop our safety work.

We are a smaller association where the responsibility for different parts of safety work is currently distributed among several employees. Therefore, we are looking for a safety coordinator who can coordinate efforts, create structure, and contribute with expert competence in the field.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a safety coordinator and the association's chief security protection officer or deputy chief security protection officer, you have overall responsibility for the security protection work. You are also responsible for strategic crisis and preparedness issues, development of the ability for civil defense, and planning of rescue services during heightened preparedness.

You will develop governing documents, prepare cases, and create decision-making materials, as well as conduct analyses and ensure that decided measures are implemented effectively and purposefully. The role includes following up and evaluating results and driving continuous improvement work.

Since the work with safety issues is currently spread across several employees, you will have an important task in strengthening, coordinating, and creating a cohesive and effective structure. You actively contribute with your expertise and collaborate with relevant external actors while working closely with the association's management on strategic issues. Furthermore, you will follow developments in the security field and the security political situation and recommend measures as needed.

The position also includes planning and conducting presentations, internal training initiatives, and exercises.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this assignment, high integrity is required. Through your understanding of coordination and collaboration, you create trusting relationships both within and outside the organization.

Requirements for the position:

• Relevant higher education and/or solid work experience in the security field as assessed by the employer
• Good knowledge and experience in security protection
• Good knowledge and experience in information security work
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good analytical skills
• Good computer skills
• Driver's license B
• Swedish citizenship

Meritorious:

• Experience in crisis management and staff work
• Experience working with total defense, civil defense, war organization, and continuity management
• Experience from public administration or politically governed organizations
• Experience from rescue services

OTHER

• The position is placed directly under the director of the association.
• A 6-month probationary period may be applied.
• You will be part of the association's crisis management organization.
• The position is classified in a security class, and you will be placed in the association in case of war.
• The nature of the work primarily requires presence at the workplace, but some remote work may occur by agreement.
