About the Position

As a buyer at PlatinumCars the Collection, you will be responsible for ensuring the right cars are purchased for the company. You will assess the market in both the Swedish and European car markets, and based on this, have knowledge of which car models are in highest demand and what constitutes competitive prices for these cars. Review quotes from suppliers, stay updated on car auctions, negotiate prices, and make decisions on whether to enter into purchase agreements.

The work is very independent and involves many contacts both internally and externally. You will closely collaborate with the purchasing team in Norrköping and Stockholm, as well as your operational manager.

The recruitment process is conducted via Poolia, and you will be employed directly by PlatinumCars. All questions regarding the position will be answered by the responsible recruitment consultant Jens Uhr.

• Purchasing cars.

• Conducting contract and price negotiations.
• Staying updated on auctions.
• Following trends in the automotive industry.

Who Are You?

You are the right person for the role if you:

• Have previous experience in car sales and/or purchasing within the automotive industry.
• Have a genuine interest and technical knowledge of cars and are skilled at understanding a car's history and pricing.
• Have at least a high school education or relevant work experience.
• Have a valid driver's license (B).
• Are a team player with excellent collaboration skills.
• Have a positive attitude and see opportunities instead of obstacles.
• Are meticulous, structured, and have high-quality standards for your work.
• Possess good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, and other languages such as German or French are advantageous.

As a person, we want you to be communicative and attentive to your colleagues and customers, which leads to a good understanding of purchasing. You are analytical and a very good negotiator. Furthermore, we believe you are business-driven, skilled at creating new contacts, and proactive in your work. You are eager to take initiative and show leadership in the purchasing process.

We prefer that you have experience in similar work and that you have very good knowledge of the car market in Sweden. You should have a strong interest and technical knowledge of cars and be skilled at evaluating them.

PlatinumCars is one of Sweden's largest suppliers of exclusive cars and has experienced strong growth since its inception 20 years ago. Our main facility in Norrköping is one of the country's largest sports car centers with 11,000 m² of exhibition space and room for 250 cars. We currently operate in three locations in Sweden: Norrköping, Stockholm, and Helsingborg, offering a complete workshop, glass, detailing, and wrapping departments. We are an approved car workshop and authorized for Dodge, RAM, Corvette, Cadillac, and Chevrolet.
