The tourism industry is expanding, which places demands on sustainable solutions, more housing, and additional recreational areas and facilities.

If you want to work in a developing and creative environment, this job is for you!

Job Responsibilities

As a planning architect with us at Härjedalen Municipality, your main task will be to work on the development and processing of detailed plans to enable the municipality's continued development. You will have an important responsibility for the entire planning process, from early stages to completed detailed plans, and work in close dialogue with colleagues, developers, and other stakeholders. The role involves delving into planning issues, analyzing conditions, and producing materials that contribute to sustainable and well-balanced decisions.

We are looking for someone who can and wants to drive planning projects from idea to finished plan!

Qualifications

We welcome you with a university degree in physical planning, architecture with a focus on urban planning, community planning, or several years of relevant work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent. The role also requires that:

  • You have good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act as well as the Environmental Code.
  • You have at least a couple of years of experience in developing detailed plans at various stages and master the process surrounding detailed plans.
  • You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as a driver's license for passenger cars (B-license).
  • You are a proficient user of some drawing software/3D modeling and the Office suite.
  • It is an advantage if you have previous experience with MyCartaPlan as a planning tool.
  • It is also advantageous if you have experience in comprehensive planning work, planning programs, and other localization investigations.

Personal Attributes

The role involves driving planning processes from early stages to completed detailed plans and producing well-founded planning proposals that support sustainable development.

The work requires both the ability to be independent and to work in a group, as well as the ability to structure and prioritize when multiple planning processes are ongoing simultaneously. You need to be proactive, initiative-taking, and solution-oriented to handle complex planning issues. It is important that you have good collaborative skills both internally and externally.

Dialogue and collaboration are a natural part of the work, but the focus is on professional planning work and the development of detailed plans. This position suits you if you are:

  • analytical and strategic with the ability to see connections and consequences
  • flexible and results-oriented with the ability to achieve desired outcomes
  • communicative in both writing and visuals
  • stable and secure in yourself
  • receptive, service-oriented, and unpretentious with the ability to collaborate when needed

We Offer

Härjedalen Municipality shares part of the mountains with Berg Municipality. This means that we have a joint environmental and building department, a joint environmental and building committee, and close cooperation regarding planning issues. The municipality's main office is located in Sveg, but we also have local offices in Funäsdalen and Hede, which means you can live and work in your preferred location. Since Härjedalen is a municipality with a large geography, much of the work is carried out using digital communication tools, allowing some of the job to be done remotely.

We offer you an exciting and developing job where you, together with other employees in the community development administration, will continue to develop Härjedalen in a sustainable and positive way.

We also offer the opportunity for a wellness hour every week during working hours, wellness allowance, and vacation exchange.

Application

You apply via Härjedalen Municipality's recruitment page. In your application, we would like you to attach your CV, cover letter, and preferably two detailed plans or projects/examples you have worked on, along with a description of your role in the project.

Selection and invitations to interviews will occur continuously during the advertising period, so apply now!

The advertisement may be extended if necessary.

Start date for the position will be agreed upon.
