About the position

In your role as a radiation protection technician, you will be offered a varied and exciting everyday life. Your work involves driving the operational radiation protection efforts by supporting production personnel in their daily tasks. Your main mission is to ensure that staff and hired contractors plan their work, use the correct protective equipment, and do not spread contamination, all to minimize dose to personnel.

You will actively work on improvement efforts throughout the organization and monitor the radiation protection perspective in all processes. Administrative tasks will also be included, such as preparing documentation, dose forecasts, and summaries of radiation protection incidents, as well as providing advisory support in radiation protection matters. This position includes on-call duty and potential shift work in the future.

In this role, you will work with radiation protection-related tasks such as:

• Preventive work to minimize doses to personnel and the spread of contamination
• Release work
• Conducting facility inspections and classification of premises
• Participating in transport operations
• Involvement in waste management
• Documenting and being responsible for summaries, analyses, and measurements

Requirements for the position

We are looking for someone who has:

• Radiation protection training level C
• Driver's license and access to a car
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious:

• Release training
• Experience working in nuclear facilities or the process industry
• Radiation protection training level B

As a person, you have good planning skills and see the value in structures, processes, and are engaged in improvement work. You are skilled at building relationships with people both within and outside the organization. When things do not go as planned, you have the ability to continue in the new direction with the same focus, positivity, and commitment. Furthermore, you have good self-awareness and humility regarding your strengths and weaknesses.

You are proactive and ensure that things happen while being a good problem solver and can handle unexpected situations quickly, effectively, and safely.
