The Fortifications Agency is looking for a construction work environment specialist with a focus on a client perspective. The mission of the Fortifications Agency is to meet the needs of the Armed Forces and defense-related authorities for secure properties. This means that we build, own, manage, and operate many different types of properties that our tenants use for their activities. Our headquarters is located in Eskilstuna, where the management of the agency and the project department are mainly stationed. The project department is responsible for the Fortifications Agency's user-related construction investments, and our customers' increased need for suitable premises and fortifications will lead to increased investment volumes for a long time to come.

Your daily life as a Construction Work Environment Specialist in an authority with many exciting projects

The Project Support Unit is tasked with supporting the line organization in various projects and assignments, using its specialist knowledge to primarily support project managers in most stages from a client perspective. The Project Support Unit consists of employees, all with different specialist competencies, and grows organically with the significant growth of our partners in total defense.

This growth means that we now need to expand with an additional position as a specialist focusing on construction work environment from a client perspective.

As a specialist, you will support the department's project managers in early stages, design, procurement, and construction production. This also involves conducting internal follow-ups and audits in projects as part of the improvement work and to ensure compliance with regulations from a work environment perspective.

You will also participate in the development of process work and assist in the ongoing work of updating routines and templates for the department's work environment efforts. Your main tasks will be support and advice on work environment issues in the line organization, as well as a more prominent role in selected complex and large projects. The role involves a lot of contact with the internal organization, authorities, designers, and contractors.

The position will involve working with security-classified projects and facilities, and the work will primarily be carried out in teams together with the relevant project managers and other specialists in the unit. The position requires travel within Sweden.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with documented education as a work environment engineer. You are currently working as a work environment engineer/specialist for property owners or construction companies, or you have documented work experience assisting property owners or construction companies in these matters.

Your personal qualities are important to us, and we will place great emphasis on personal suitability. To succeed in the role, it is essential to stay up to date within your profession and area of expertise. You work in a structured manner, which means you organize and plan your work well and complete what you have started. Furthermore, you are analytical and solve problems without losing sight of long-term strategies, and you find it easy to express your opinions and argue. A driver's license (B) is required.

About the employment

The position is a permanent employment and may start with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be placed in a war position. The place of employment is Eskilstuna, Stockholm, or Gothenburg according to agreement. An employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. A security check with a background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
