Here, most patients are treated according to the Act on Forensic Psychiatric Care (LRV). Would you like to work as a security operator this summer?
We are now recruiting 6 colleagues to our team in the Monitoring Center who want to substitute during the holiday period. There is also the opportunity to work extra as needed during the spring to get properly acquainted with the work. We are looking for someone who is secure, proactive, service-oriented, and quality-conscious.
Your Responsibilities
As a security operator, you have overall responsibility for the hospital's general access control. When entering and exiting the hospital, you as a security operator will meet our patients, employees, relatives, and visitors based on a situationally adapted and trustful working method. Control at general access is performed by you as a security operator with the help of a metal detector, X-ray machine, and searches. In your role, it is important to consider individuals' rights, integrity, and self-determination. In daily work, the security operator collaborates with colleagues and other professions to promote a good and safe security culture. The work has a strong focus on quality and delivery and is largely independent, which means you need to prioritize between tasks.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
- managing alarm and access systems, key management, and area surveillance through rounds
- staffing access control
- working with surveillance via cameras monitoring the hospital area
- promoting a good, continuous dialogue among employees
- communicating with patients, relatives, employees, and others in a respectful and attentive manner
- handling suddenly arising tasks
You will receive thorough training at the Monitoring Center over two weeks and three full-day introductions with other new employees in our training facility on the hospital grounds. During these days, you will gain the fundamental knowledge you need from various professions to perform well in the role of security operator.
Your Competence
As a security operator with us, you need to be secure, stable, and self-aware. You have a good approach and a high degree of service mentality and sound judgment. You are self-driven, proactive, and communicate clearly. Since the work largely involves communication, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is important that you can shift pace and prioritize between many different tasks and are comfortable making decisions under pressure. As a person, you also have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and situations based on a flexible security mindset. We also see that you are unpretentious and distinguish between the personal and professional. With high integrity and a pronounced sense of responsibility, you further drive the hospital's security culture together with your colleagues.
You should have a high school diploma and/or work experience that the employer deems equivalent. We prefer that you have relevant education in the security field and a high technical maturity to handle digital security systems and communication equipment. It is desirable that you have work experience in similar roles within forensic psychiatry or other comparable fields.
Due to the nature of the work, the position requires normal color vision, which may be tested. Before a hiring decision is made, extracts from the suspicion and criminal records, alcohol and drug tests, and an extended suitability test will be conducted.

Employment Form
Temporary employment for a total of 10 weeks, weeks 23 - 32, with a minimum employment rate of 75%. We would like you to be able to work extra as needed as an hourly-paid substitute during the spring to get acquainted with the work. We are looking for employees for both day and night shifts.
