What do you do as a Network Technician at Norteam?

As a Network Technician at Norteam, you will play a central role in developing, managing, and future-proofing our customers' network infrastructure. You will work both strategically and operationally, with responsibility for deployment/installation, operation, development, and security of advanced network solutions. The role involves great variation, a fast pace, and a dynamic combination of operational focus and more strategic & commercial perspectives on how we package our network services.

With us, you will have the opportunity to:

• Be responsible for the operation, administration, and development of network environments for our customers
• Plan, configure, and install solutions at our customers' sites
• Work with configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of network equipment (e.g., Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, and Ubiquiti)
• Take significant responsibility for continuously contributing to the further development of our service offerings within the network area, and in this perspective, constantly seek new knowledge about alternative technical solutions and the latest technology
• Ensure high network security through monitoring, incident management, and proactive measures
• Participate in projects related to network architecture, expansion, and modernization
• Document solutions, routines, and processes in a structured manner
• Provide expert support and assistance to customers and colleagues in network and IT security
• Visit customers, primarily in the Stockholm region, but also in other locations as needed

Who are you?

You have several years of experience in network installation, operation, and network design in complex environments. You have deep knowledge in routing, switching, firewalls, and VPN, preferably with tools like Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, and Ubiquiti or similar.

You have a good understanding of micro-segmentation and network security. You master the fundamental network functions and principles. You have very strong skills in complex troubleshooting of both wireless and wired networks.

You are self-driven and proactive with a solution-oriented mindset. You take significant personal responsibility and contribute to continuous improvements within your area of expertise. You take initiative, identify tasks & needs at Norteam's customers, and you are good at structuring and prioritizing your work.

You are a service-oriented person who loves the feeling of delivering beyond our customers' expectations. You possess a natural pedagogical ability and can naturally build trust with both customers and colleagues.

We also believe that you have a business acumen and a holistic view that creates the conditions not only to install, manage, and develop network infrastructure but also to contribute to the development of the network service area.

We value curiosity & a willingness to develop – a drive to enhance your skills, apply new knowledge in practice, and inspire colleagues by sharing insights and ideas.

You should have:

• Experience with Firewalls and IPS and knowledge of NGFW
• Experience with Client VPN and ZTNA
• Skills in network monitoring tools and software.
• Programming and scripting skills (e.g., CLI tools)
• Experience from smaller companies where you had overall responsibility for setting up network environments
• Very good Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Driving license B

A big plus if you also have:

• Network certifications in, for example, Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, and CompTIA Network+
• Experience with ITIL processes
• Knowledge of Windows Server and Microsoft 365/Entra

• Location is Stockholm, Bromma
• Work mainly from the office, with the possibility of a hybrid solution
• Start as soon as possible
