The main goal and task of the Surgical Center Umeå is to provide highly specialized and high-quality care and research for patients within the northern healthcare region. The clinic is divided into sections for urology, breast, endocrine, vascular, colorectal, and upper gastrointestinal surgery, which is conducted in both outpatient and inpatient care.

We are looking for nurses to join our wonderful team at the Abdominal and Vascular Surgery Department. Here, we care for patients with upper gastrointestinal diseases, colorectal diseases, and vascular diseases. At the Surgical Center, we appreciate stimulating and varied work, and you will become part of a close-knit team with a strong sense of community. We encourage new ideas, maintain a positive work environment, and support each other. To facilitate for our healthcare staff, we have supportive functions such as pharmacists, receptionists, kitchen assistants, and patient-related services in the departments.

We place great importance on providing you with a good introduction and favorable conditions to thrive and develop with us. The onboarding is individually tailored and lasts between 4 to 6 weeks. You have the opportunity to work according to a 3-3 schedule, which means approximately 88% working time with a maintained full-time salary. As a newly graduated nurse, you will participate in the region's introductory year for nurses with regular meetings and training. We offer mentorship with trained mentors and scheduled time for reflection and education after onboarding.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel safe. You will work within a broad surgical area with highly specialized surgery and emergency care. Here, we care for both patients who have undergone planned surgeries and patients who have sought emergency care.

As a nurse, you play an important role in the care team where you collectively are responsible for daily care, nutrition, mobilization, wound care, and other tasks. You work closely with the patient, and your work includes identifying risks, assessing, addressing, and evaluating the patient's various care needs. You will have an important role in leading, prioritizing, and coordinating care work together with your care team.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. We consider it an advantage if you have experience in surgery or emergency care.
