The main goal and task of the Surgical Center in Umeå is to provide highly specialized and high-quality care and research for patients within the northern healthcare region. The clinic is divided into sections for urology, breast, endocrine, vascular, colorectal, and upper gastrointestinal surgery, which are conducted in both outpatient and inpatient care. The care at the Surgical Center is characterized by a holistic approach where many different professional categories are engaged and collaborate for the best results.

In collaboration with Umeå University, we also conduct successful research with both clinical and preclinical focus. Our mission includes education, and we welcome students from various professional groups. The clinic also conducts internal training and regularly hosts various lectures.

We are now looking for a nurse for the Surgical Outpatient Clinic in Umeå. The work also includes a certain percentage directed towards highly specialized care within the upper gastrointestinal section (ÖGI). You will be an important part of a competent team of nursing assistants, nurses, contact nurses, and doctors. Every day offers new lessons and challenges, while you contribute to creating safety and quality in care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. You are an important part of providing patients with care and improved quality of life.

As a nurse at the Surgical Outpatient Clinic, you will have an interesting and developing job. Your tasks will include assisting in minor surgeries, treatments, and wound dressings. You will also manage the waiting list and book patients for the clinic as well as provide telephone advice. Inventory responsibility, instrument handling, and working with medical technology equipment are also part of your job.

The work is conducted during daytime hours, Monday to Friday, on weekdays without weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse who wants to work in an exciting and varied job in an organization under development. If you are driven, engaged, and passionate about safe care, this is the job for you. As a person, you are responsible, communicative, and enjoy learning new things. You are stress-resistant, flexible, and have an easy time collaborating.

We see that you are interested in development and want to meet the patient from a holistic perspective. You should have the ability to work independently, have good collaboration skills, and be flexible in thought and action. You should be meticulous and able to handle the pace changes that occur in a clinic.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is a requirement.
