Right now, we are primarily looking for those who want to work extra and are interested in summer jobs. During the summer, there is an opportunity to work a longer continuous substitute position for about eight weeks.

This advertisement is aimed at those interested in starting work as a substitute in Care and Support and/or Assistance and Service. If you are an existing substitute in Care and Support or Assistance and Service and wish to work more, this summer or to be trained in more units, we encourage you to first speak with your immediate supervisor or staffing unit.

YOUR ROLE

As a substitute in Care and Support, your workdays can look very different depending on where the need is. You may work in home care or at a care and support facility, assisting elderly individuals with both practical tasks and personal care. You could be the one providing security at night in the Night Patrol or the one responding when the security alarm goes off.

As a substitute in Assistance and Service, you provide support for individuals with disabilities in their daily lives and leisure. You can work in group homes, service apartments, or day activities, contributing to creating security and participation in people's lives. In short-term care or leisure activities, you have the opportunity to work closely with children and youth, where your efforts make a significant difference for them and their families. As a personal assistant, you start from the individual's needs and wishes to create as independent and meaningful a daily life as possible. Additionally, as a companion or respite caregiver, you can contribute to a richer leisure time for the individual while providing relief for their relatives.

No matter the assignment, the job is about being there for other people so they can live their lives in the best way possible.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

You are a person that others feel safe with. You have a stable foundation to stand on even when the pace is high or unexpected situations arise. You handle stress constructively and maintain a good mood when it is needed the most.

You easily empathize with others, listen actively, and show consideration. It is evident that you care – and that makes a big difference for those you meet. You are collaborative and unpretentious, adapting to different needs and finding solutions that work for everyone. With us, it is always the team before the individual.

It is an advantage if you have education or experience in care and support, social work, or educational activities. Knowledge of TAKK or sign language is also meritorious.

You need to:

• have good physical ability – the job can be physically demanding
• be able to speak and write in Swedish – to document and communicate with both colleagues and clients

Extra compensation this summer: If you work at least 80% during both holiday periods, which together cover eight weeks, you will receive 10,000 kronor in addition to your regular gross salary. The compensation will be paid out after the summer.

For those of you who are retirees born in 1958 or earlier, a 25% higher hourly wage is offered during the months of June, July, and August.
