Information Security Coordinator

The Health and Care Administration is one of the largest administrations in Östersund Municipality and consists of the Home Care & Special Housing sector, the Disability sector, and the administration, which in turn consists of six units. One of these units is the Infrastructure Unit, which is now seeking an Information Security Coordinator for a fixed-term position during the year 2026.

Your mission

As an Information Security Coordinator, you will play a central role in ensuring that the Health and Care Administration's information assets are managed in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Regulation. This will be achieved by classifying, risk-assessing, and managing the administration's information assets from an information security perspective. You will be a key person in creating structure for and managing the Health and Care Administration's incident handling regarding information security and data protection. This involves protecting the administration's, target groups', and employees' personal data, ensuring that processes are robust, and that we comply with applicable legislation.

Information and cyber security involve protecting important information and systems so that unauthorized persons cannot access them, that they cannot be manipulated, and ensuring that they can be used as intended and are available when and where needed. Based on this, you will also participate in the work with risk and vulnerability analyses and measures based on the analyses within social services and health care.

The role means that you are an important support for all of the administration's operations.

You will collaborate with other functions regarding the administration's operational systems as well as information and personal data management. You will also cooperate with colleagues in similar roles in other administrations within the municipality.

Common tasks

The work with information security is part of the administration's systematic quality work. This means that you will:

  • Supplement and implement municipality-wide governing documents regarding information security.
  • Classify information.
  • Manage and follow up on incidents.

Your qualifications

Requirements

  • University or college education deemed suitable by the employer.
  • Knowledge of issues related to information security, data protection, incident management, and risk analyses or similar in municipalities, regions, or other public authorities.
  • Ability to develop governing documents, routines, and processes and to follow up and develop these.

Meritorious

  • Experience with SKR's tool KLASSA.
  • Experience with applicable standards and regulations within information security, such as the ISO 27000 series.
