Habo parish, by the shores of Lake Vättern, about 15 km northwest of Jönköping, consists of three active and well-functioning congregations with many meeting places for both children and adults.

Habo is an expanding municipality with well-developed local services and the opportunity to live a good life close to nature and outdoor activities. Many families with children live in our municipality, which has about 13,700 inhabitants, of which about 8,400 are church members. In the parish with Habo, Gustav Adolf, and Brandstorp congregations, we are a team of 26 employees working around four churches and one chapel.

Our activities are broad, and we have a vibrant worship life with many church services, a stable economy, well-maintained buildings and cemeteries, and not least engaged employees, both paid and volunteers. You have the drive to work independently but will also collaborate closely with our two other church musicians. In Habo parish, we face exciting challenges as we are in a rethinking and developing phase.

We are looking for someone with a broad church music background, who is well acquainted with the worship life in the Church of Sweden and wants to be part of and develop the music and community life with us.

In Habo parish, there are currently four adult choirs and two children's choirs. You will lead the women's choir Glädje and have some extra responsibility for the music activities in the Gustav Adolf and Brandstorp congregations. The choir activities are growing, and we see a need to start a youth choir. We actively work with young people's music-making, and you will have the opportunity to be part of the parish's organ teaching.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a trained church musician at least level C or has equivalent education/experience.
• Is comfortable leading a choir.
• Is confident playing both organ and piano.
• Is used to taking responsibility and working both independently and in a group. You drive your work forward, take initiative, and see what needs to be done.
• Has a B driver's license.
• Is a member of the Church of Sweden.

The position is full-time and permanent. Start date is according to agreement. Given that you will meet many people in this position, great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. We apply auditioning.
