…can build custom WordPress solutions from scratch – both in the backend and frontend – and who loves to combine technology with user experience. You will work with modern, responsive websites where interactivity, structure, and performance are in focus.

About the role

You will:

• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins for event sites and similar digital solutions
• 
  
• Work with Custom Post Types, meta boxes, shortcodes, and custom REST API endpoints
• 
  
• Ensure that the sites are secure, performance-optimized, and follow best practices
• 
  
• Build beautiful, responsive interfaces with modern frameworks like Tailwind CSS
• 
  
• Implement frontend functionality with vanilla JavaScript or React (e.g., filtering, modals, smooth scroll)
• 
  
• Use build tools like Gulp, Grunt, or npm scripts to optimize CSS and JavaScript
• 
  
• Document projects clearly with README files and code comments

We believe you have:

• Good experience in WordPress development (both theme and plugin development)
• 
  
• Knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript
• 
  
• Understanding of security in WordPress (validation, sanitization, protection against XSS/CSRF)
• 
  
• Experience in creating REST API endpoints and using them in the frontend
• 
  
• Familiarity with responsive and accessible design
• 
  
• Ability to write modular, readable, and well-structured code

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with event systems or conference sites
• 
  
• Use of Tailwind CSS or similar modern UI frameworks
• 
  
• Previous work with build tools like Gulp or npm scripts
• 
  
• Good sense of UI/UX and frontend interaction
