Norrahammar Parish is now looking for an engaged and creative church musician for our parish with approximately 5200 members and three churches: Norrahammars Church, Sandseryds Church, and Kyrkvillan.

About us:

Norrahammar Parish is a vibrant and inclusive community where music is an important part of parish life. The parish values tradition and renewal and aims to offer our visitors inspiring services and musical experiences.

The parish's three churches have different characteristics: a beautiful medieval church located in the countryside, a majestic wooden church in the center, and a cozy smaller church in a residential area.

Your responsibilities:

- Be responsible for music in services and church events in our three churches.

- Collaborate with priests and other staff to create a cohesive worship life.

- Lead and inspire the church choir and be responsible for organ students.

- Plan and execute various choir projects, including music devotions and Music in the Summer Evening.

- Be responsible for organ maintenance and ensure that our instruments are in good condition.

- Contribute to the development of the musical life in the parish.

We are looking for someone who:

- Has a solid education, church musician degree at B-level is an asset.

- Has a deep commitment to church music and liturgy.

- Is creative and can think outside the box when it comes to musical arrangements.

- Is social with good collaboration skills and can work in a team.

- Feels confident leading both solo and ensemble performances.

- Is flexible and secure in your role.

- Holds a B driver's license and has access to a car for work-related travel.
