High Chaparral is a theme park unlike any other. A visit here is an experience for all the senses that you will not soon forget. We position ourselves as a theater theme park with a Wild West theme for families, which also reflects how we present shows and characters.

About the position - Sound Technician

As a Sound Technician, you are responsible for all sound in the park. You will alternate your day between running sound during our various shows and ensuring that the ambient sound in the park works as it should. The sound in the park is well thought out and is an important factor that contributes to the adventure we create for our guests. We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in sound technology, a broad knowledge of sound in live contexts, or previous work experience. We would like you to have experience with sound at theater performances and be familiar with handling wireless systems. It is a big plus if you have knowledge of troubleshooting and repair. You will work closely with the various ensembles, so being cooperative and solution-oriented are qualities we are looking for. During the day, you will be the sole technician in your position, so you need to be self-sufficient and responsible. You will also move around among guests during the days, so having a sense of guest interaction is a plus.

You need to be available during the spring as you will participate in setting up the park's sound technology and during our rehearsal period for all shows. More specific information will be provided upon potential employment.
