About the Position

Your mission is to make the school library a vibrant educational resource. You will work based on the school's library plan, and your daily tasks will vary between:

Reading promotion efforts: Inspiring a love for reading.
Media and information literacy: Collaborating with teachers to strengthen students' media and information literacy.
Coordination: Responsible for the book collection, library council, and creating a safe, inclusive study environment.
Networking: Being part of a network with other school librarians for collegial learning.

You will report to and have close operational collaboration with the school management and school development group.

We expect you to:

Be attentive and have an easy time communicating with both youth and adults.
Have good pedagogical skills and see the library as an integral part of teaching.
Be flexible and thrive in the dynamics that arise in the role when working with different groups and individuals for various purposes and with different paths to the goal.
Be structured and meticulous.

Requirements and Qualifications

Requirement: Degree in Library and Information Science (or another academic degree deemed equivalent).
Desirable: Experience in educational activities or work in a school library.
Competence: High digital competence and a broad interest in both children's and young adult literature.
