As a conservator, you will work within the Cultural Environment unit, alongside other conservators, archaeologists, building antiquarians, and cultural geographers. All possess extensive knowledge and broad competence. Each year, we handle hundreds of assignments for the Church of Sweden, municipalities, authorities, companies, and private individuals.
Do you want to be part of this?

- Perform preventive and active conservation.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree in conservation or equivalent, preferably with a master's degree.
- Several years of experience in painting conservation in historical and sacred environments.
- Experience in project management with responsibility for budget and team leadership, preferably in a consulting role.
Additionally, you need to have:
- A well-documented ability to compile reports, action programs, and cost estimates.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
- A valid driver's license (B).
Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, and English is an advantage.
We Place Great Importance on Your Ability to:
- Manage logistics, plan, and execute projects with colleagues, internal and external stakeholders, and subcontractors.
- Work both independently and in teams, as well as communicate both internally and externally.
- Adapt the quality of tasks and results based on the client's specifications.
- Deliver and meet deadlines.
- Be meticulous and attentive.
- Analyze and have a willingness to learn new things.
Employment
The position is a permanent employment at 100%, starting with a 6-month probationary period. Travel is common, and overnight stays may be included. Start date is negotiable.
The work can be physically demanding at times, and work at heights, both from scaffolding and lifts, occurs, as well as work in environments with dust and mold.
Workplace
The county museum offers you inspiring tasks in a dynamic environment, good professional development, active work environment efforts, wonderful colleagues, and good working conditions.
We hope you will thrive and grow with us!
Application
The application deadline is March 1, but we conduct ongoing selection and interviews, and the position may therefore be filled before the application period ends.
