Peab Byggservice is now looking for a Senior Purchasing Manager for its operations.

The mission is to provide the right conditions for the operations regarding purchasing work in the regions in line with Peab's business plan and purchasing strategy. You will support our 2 regions that have a geographical area from Stockholm/Uppsala and southwards.

Possible locations: Stockholm, Linköping, Jönköping, Gothenburg, Malmö, Helsingborg

The job involves travel. You are expected to have a valid driver's license (B).

About the role

In the role of Purchasing Manager, you will work with purchasing at a strategic level, which is why we believe you have a high level of experience as a purchaser. You will lead, coordinate, and develop the purchasing work. Peab believes that specialization is the key to success. In this role, you will be assigned a certain degree of purchasing mandate in collaboration with your manager. You will become our consultative and operational advisor to the operations within our two construction service regions, with a strong focus on efficient and sustainable purchasing. You will provide guidance in the area based on the policies, guidelines, and processes we have in the organization. The position also involves following up on purchasing processes and ensuring compliance with working methods. The role also includes leading a network for employees who carry out purchasing in their daily work within the regions. In this role, you will identify and solve problems. This requires collaboration and good communication with relevant stakeholders, and you will serve as an important link between different units within your own organization and the business area. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other support functions within Peab Building Service and the Peab Building support business area. You are expected to work independently with limited guidance from your manager.

You work closely with the operations and find it easy to build relationships and get support for your questions. You are also skilled at communicating with the organization at different levels.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree and/or equivalent relevant work experience of at least 6-8 years in purchasing. It is a significant advantage if you have experience in the construction industry.

As a person, you are driven and love to work with the business in focus. A prerequisite for succeeding in the role is that you have a strong ability to execute and are motivated to develop business relationships with contractors and suppliers. You are analytical, structured, and have the ability to see the big picture.
You also have good negotiation skills, strong communication abilities, and high integrity.
We would like you to be independent and find it natural to share knowledge and contribute to the development of others.
