We are looking for two assistance officers for the assistance unit for the elderly and adults under 65 years.

In the unit, we have regular case meetings, reflection meetings, and planning days to develop our competence in public authority operations, responses, and approaches, as well as to maintain our good work culture in the unit. We offer you flexible working hours. The workplace is centrally located in Upplands Väsby with good communication for those who commute.

About us

The assistance unit consists of 23 employees who work with public authority operations under the Social Services Act (SoL), national travel service (RFT), travel service investigations, and the housing adaptation grant law. This unit includes assistance officers, discharge planners, housing coordinators, housing adaptation officers, and fee officers. The target group for the assistance unit is elderly people over 65 years according to SoL and younger people with disabilities under 65 years according to SoL.

About the position

As an assistance officer, you will work with public authority operations by processing and documenting according to SoL, the national travel service law, and the travel service law. You will conduct home visits, office visits, receive applications, inform, investigate, make decisions, and follow up on the need for interventions. Public authority operations also involve contact with users, relatives, guardians, providers, hospitals, and similar.

You will also plan interventions with elderly and adult individuals who require various interventions at home, short-term accommodation, or special housing. We use the operational system combine for processing and documentation and the system phoniro for reviewing home care time.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in social work or is studying within the Social Care program, or has or is studying a comparable academic education, such as a law program.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language and can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish as you will have daily contact with clients and external authorities on various complex issues.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Previously worked with public authority operations according to the social services act within elderly care and adults over 20 years and/or the LSS law for persons with disabilities.
• Experience in processing according to the IBIC method.
• Computer skills within operational systems, such as pulsen combine and phoniro.

As a person, you are structured, independent, can prioritize, and are flexible in your work. Furthermore, we see that you have good collaborative skills. The work requires you to have a professional approach and always provide a good response. Your workdays are largely organized by you as an assistance officer, which requires you to be a responsible person.
