We are now looking for a mechanical designer to join Husqvarna's team within Pro Robotic Mowers – a role where you can combine technology, innovation, and sustainability in practice.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a mechanical designer at Husqvarna, you play a central role in the development of their robotic lawn mowers from concept to finished product. You work daily to design, further develop, and detail mechanical components, often in plastic or sheet metal, focusing on function, durability, and manufacturability. The role is closely related to construction and involves significant technical responsibility, while you collaborate closely with other designers in the team. You also have close contact with the calculation team and test lab, which provides the opportunity to follow up on your design solutions in practice, for example by participating in field tests of the product you have helped develop.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks

• Design and develop mechanical components.
• Ensure function, durability, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with designers, calculation teams, and test labs.
• Follow up and test designs, including in the field.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has a degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Has a technical interest in your spare time (could be working on cars, bikes, etc.)
• Has good knowledge of both Swedish and English, as it is required in daily work with colleagues and other stakeholders
• Has knowledge and experience with CATIA V5

It is a merit if you have:

• Previous experience in the design of molded parts in plastic or injection-molded plastic
• Previous experience in mechanical design, preferably from consumer products or the automotive industry
• Knowledge of geometric assurance
