iab interiors has been delivering customized solutions in healthcare and care furnishings, educational environment furnishings, and tailored housing solutions since 1980. With our own production in Rydaholm, Småland, we can ensure that everything delivered from us maintains high quality and is Swedish-made. Our products are factory-assembled and delivered ready on pallets.

With our custom carpentry, we can also offer a wider range where we manufacture, for example, reception desks, extraction cabinets, etc. We have a broad selection of different materials such as Corian and employees with extensive experience in the carpentry industry. In other words, nothing is impossible for us.

Within the group, there is another company, Lundqvist interiors, where iab manufactures parts of their range in addition to their production in Gnesta. Sales offices are located in Stockholm and Gothenburg.

Our customers are largely construction companies participating in tenders within municipalities and regions. We also deliver directly to businesses, administrators, and the construction trade.

As we have recently received a larger project with a lot of custom furnishings, we are therefore looking for a CAD designer/preparer for a project employment. The employment period is estimated to be about 12 months.

Job Responsibilities

As a designer/preparer, you are the link between project management and production. You are responsible for creating drawings, planning the work, and ensuring that the project runs efficiently from start to finish. If you have practical experience in custom carpentry, you may be offered continued employment in the special workshop after completing the design/preparation.

Main job responsibilities

- Create construction drawings/CAD drawings primarily in SolidWorks and DraftSight.

- Provide documentation for production

- Support the production team with measurements, materials, and details.

Background

Experience with CAD programs (SolidWorks is a requirement, DraftSight is an advantage)

Good familiarity with drawings, construction, and technical documentation of furnishings as well as construction drawings.

Structured and meticulous in your work.

Ability to drive projects independently.

Good understanding of production and material properties.

Meritorious

Experience from practical work in furniture carpentry.

Excel, calculations, and scheduling.

Good knowledge of wood, metal, and composite materials.
