About the position
We are now looking for a technically skilled and solution-oriented designer who wants to be an important part of our continued development. You will replace one of our key personnel who is moving on in their career.
As a designer at Runå, you will have significant responsibility and good opportunities for independence. You will work closely with our customers and internal colleagues at Runå – from customer contact to finished tool. Customer contact includes everything from phone calls and Teams meetings to customer visits, where the designer is always present during the fine-tuning process. The role is broad and technically challenging with great variation in the workdays.
Job Description
- Design of pressing tools in SolidWorks using the Logopress software
- Project management: from customer contact to finished tool
- Collaboration with production and toolmakers
- Testing and evaluation of tools
- Participation in design and production reviews
- Drawing management and preparation of quotes
- Responsibility for spare parts and service commitments
- Engagement in technology development and improvement work
- Work in the business system Pyramid
We are looking for someone who
- Has at least a three-year vocational education as a designer or toolmaker – or at least 5 years of experience in tool design
- Has good experience with tools in the metal industry
- CAD knowledge
- Is accustomed to working in SolidWorks and preferably has knowledge of Logopress
- Has good social skills and enjoys collaborating – both with colleagues and customers
- Is confident in your professional role, willing to make decisions, and trusts your experience
- Has a solution-oriented mindset, is stress-resistant, and flexible
- Enjoys taking responsibility and driving work forward
- Likes variation and independence in everyday life
It is an advantage if you have experience as a toolmaker, but the most important thing is that you have the right technical foundation and personal qualities.
We believe you are a person who can work independently and be a natural part of our team. You gain energy from solving problems, building relationships, and contributing to development – both technically and culturally.
