Our Operations

Emergency care constitutes a central and extensive part of healthcare. Our field of operations consists of two sections; emergency care and ambulance care. The emergency care section consists of the emergency department. Our goal is to provide good, purposeful, high-quality, specialist-driven emergency care for all patients, regardless of the reason for seeking care. We strive to be a health-promoting workplace with good leadership and flexible working methods, and therefore continuously work with education and development. With us, you have close access to specialist knowledge, research, education, and around 40 engaged emergency physician colleagues.

Our University Hospital is a level 1 trauma center. The adult emergency department sees approximately 52,000 patients annually, with a lower age limit of 15 years, but is also responsible for younger children with potentially life-threatening conditions.

Within the field of operations, we conduct research, basic and specialist training for nurses and doctors at all stages of their careers. We engage in multiprofessional and innovative development with national and international partners, as well as quality and patient safety work with a focus on proactive operational development. We are now connected to the Swedish Emergency Care Register (SVAR) and have a strong focus on competence development in Patient-Centered Ultrasound.

Your Mission

Work in emergency care is ongoing around the clock, and you will therefore have varying working hours. As an employee at the University Hospital, participation in education and supervision is included. Your duties will include clinical work in the emergency department (adult) and the emergency department (pediatric surgery/orthopedics), as we also staff the pediatric emergency surgery/orthopedics.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a specialist physician in emergency care with high clinical knowledge and broad experience in trauma. You are proactive in development and education issues, have experience leading clinical development work, and are responsible, collegial, and possess good collaboration skills.

You are clear, attentive, humble, and responsible, with a patient-centered focus and the ability to communicate your clinical assessments and decisions. The position is a permanent full-time employment or as agreed. Salary and start date are negotiable. Prior to appointment, a background check from the police's suspicion and criminal record, a license verification, and a check of any remarks from IVO, as well as your references will be conducted.
