Our 1800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within habilitation, and we provide advice over the phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us as we tailor our services based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

There is now a unique opportunity to be part of the region's initiative where we are hiring more district doctors for Gottsunda Health Center. From January 2026, Gottsunda Health Center will be one of Region Uppsala's four new pilot health centers that, with the help of state funds, aim to reach the goal of 1100 listed patients per full-time employed district doctor. This will provide opportunities to develop the primary care mission regarding both increased accessibility, continuity, and new working methods. Be part of it from the start! Your Mission

With us, you will work closely with all professions at the health center and in teams. Your tasks will consist of outpatient work with good opportunities for other stimulating tasks such as mentoring BT/AT/ST doctors and responsibility for various clinical processes based on interest.

As part of the work, you will also be involved in developing our operations, and there are good opportunities to influence work arrangements and scheduling, thus allowing you to impact your work environment. Some on-call/standby duty is included as is customary in primary care throughout Region Uppsala. We offer the possibility to work partially remotely.

Your Competence

We are looking for you who are a doctor with specialist competence in general medicine with Swedish authorization and a good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written. A large part of our district doctors successfully work with the so-called Gottsunda model, which is an extended triage over the phone, and we see that you will work in the same model. Since we are now at a stage where we have great opportunities to develop our operations, it is advantageous if you have an interest in healthcare development with a focus on patients and patient flows. It is also good if you appreciate working in teams around patients with other professionals to achieve efficient flows. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Our Operations

Gottsunda Health Center is located in bright, beautiful premises in Gottsunda Center, in the southwestern part of Uppsala. We have about 13,000 listed patients and approximately 70 employees. Our operations are broad, and all professional areas within the health center's mission are represented. Many of our patients come from other countries and cultures, which we believe makes the work with us particularly varied and interesting.

Our medical group currently consists of 4 ST doctors, 9 district doctors at varying degrees of employment, as well as AT and BT doctors. We have a well-developed concept regarding work with addictive medications and sick leave. The group consists of confident employees who have long experience working at Gottsunda Health Center.

The health center belongs to the management of Close Care and Health in Region Uppsala. We want you to thrive and develop with us.
