About the role of Key Account Manager
As a Key Account Manager, you will have strategic overall responsibility for some of Sonepar's most important national customers within the Electrical Installation segment. The role is not about transactional sales, but about driving the business long-term through analysis, planning, negotiation, and follow-up.

You will work with central pricing agreements, price revisions, and business strategies where product range, margins, and customer-specific conditions need to be managed at the item level. An important part of the assignment is to understand the whole: the customer's business, their project logic, and how Sonepar's organization can best be mobilized to create value over time.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with regional managers, sales managers, and the local sales organization to ensure that strategic customer agreements are implemented nationwide. You will also work closely with central support functions such as pricing, analysis, and back office, as well as with suppliers. The role is national in nature, and travel within Sweden is a natural part of the job. You will report to the Division Manager KAM.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for and develop strategic key customers in electrical installation at the national level.
  • Drive price revisions, contract negotiations, and business follow-ups together with customers and suppliers.
  • Analyze sales data, product range, and margins to identify business opportunities and improvement potential.
  • Coordinate internal functions and support regions in larger deals, procurements, and projects.
  • Contribute to the division's business plan and Sonepar's long-term growth through proactive business development.

About you

We are looking for someone who is analytical and confident in the role of Key Account Manager. You thrive in complex deals where decision-making paths are long and where success is built on structure, perseverance, and trust over time. You find it easy to build relationships, but you are also comfortable in tough negotiations where you need to stand firm in Sonepar's position.


You have the ability and willingness to dive into numbers, contracts, and pricing structures when required, while also being able to lift your gaze and work strategically with business development. As a person, you are meticulous, engaged, and collaborative, and you thrive in a team where knowledge is shared and business is driven collectively.


Important for the role:

  • Several years of experience in B2B sales in complex business environments, preferably within electrical, installation, or related technology industries.
  • Strong business understanding and experience working with centrally managed customer organizations.
  • Ability to work analytically with large data sets, price lists, and contracts.
  • Good negotiation skills and personal confidence in commercial dialogues at management and purchasing levels.
  • Very good communication skills in Swedish and good knowledge of English.
  • Driver's license and willingness to travel within Sweden in the role.

Meritorious:

  • Previous experience in Key Account Management or another strategic sales role.
  • Experience with price revisions, framework agreements, and product range management.
  • Post-secondary education in business, technology, or economics.
