Property Manager Needed for Järfälla Municipality

Järfälla is located 20 kilometers northwest of Stockholm City, with over 80,000 inhabitants. Although the big city is close - just 20 minutes by commuter train or car to Stockholm City - most things are available within the municipality. Large outdoor areas, the waters of Lake Mälaren, a rich cultural offering, diverse business life, nice residential areas, shopping, and well-developed services make Järfälla a great place to live, work, and thrive.

The Property Department consists of about 50 employees and is responsible for approximately 430,000 m2 of premises, schools, preschools, cultural and sports facilities, as well as care and nursing homes, of which over 100,000 m2 are leased premises and apartments distributed across almost 200 agreements. We need to recruit an experienced property manager.

The department consists of 3 units; in addition to the management unit, there is also a project management unit responsible for renovations and expansions, as well as a customer and technology unit. The department is characterized by a good atmosphere, development with the customer in focus, and employees with high competence. RESPONSIBILITIES

As a property manager, you will have overall responsibility for a number of properties, primarily schools, preschools, and sports halls. You will act as a property owner and be responsible for developing and managing your portfolio in close collaboration with colleagues in the property department.

The role involves leading the management with drive and commitment, participating in construction and project meetings, and independently driving smaller projects.

You will have many points of contact and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders. Therefore, it is important that you are clear, structured, and have good social and communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in property management, economics, or engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Good knowledge of tenancy law and negotiations.
• Several years of experience in property management.
• The ability to think service-oriented and work closely with customers.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Financial understanding, especially in property economics.
