ABOUT US

Göteborgs Stadsmission's Bobyrå rents out housing to individuals in need of safe accommodation but who, for various reasons, find it difficult to enter the housing market.

We function both as a housing agency and a landlord. We target people who, for various reasons, are outside the regular housing market and belong to the group of structurally homeless individuals. What distinguishes our agency is that it operates based on need rather than waiting time or financial stability. We place great emphasis on matching our potential tenants with the right housing. We want our tenants to live well and stay long-term.

There is no cost to apply for housing through Bobyrå. We charge no placement fee or add any extra costs associated with renting. Bobyrå is fully funded by the donations collected by Göteborgs Stadsmission.

The housing we mediate comes from various property owners who want to contribute to a more humane housing market.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Bobyrå contacts applicants for interviews and to assess their needs. If the applicant meets the criteria for renting housing through Bobyrå, they are placed on our interest bank of housing seekers. Those with the greatest need are prioritized for housing. When we find a suitable housing solution, we will contact the applicant and then draft a lease where the applicant rents the property from Göteborgs Stadsmission.

You will work in a team led by coordinators. Together, you will conduct interviews, write contracts, and hand over keys. You will regularly check rent payments, conduct inspections of the apartments' condition, and issue requests for corrections as needed. In case of breach of contract, the tenant will be evicted. Maintaining good contact with property owners and fulfilling our commitments is also an important part of the job.

A significant part of this position will focus on collaboration with property owners. The work involves actively establishing and maintaining relationships with both existing and new property owners, informing them about Bobyrå's working methods and offerings, and creating conditions for more property owners to contribute apartments. The aim is to increase the availability of housing and thereby strengthen social sustainability.

WHO ARE YOU?

We need to grow and are now looking for a sales mediator with a heart in the right place. You have a genuine interest in management issues and are comfortable handling both administrative processes and practical matters related to housing mediation and rental. At the same time, you actively and purposefully work to attract more property owners to collaborate with Göteborgs Stadsmission. The sales work involves identifying potential property owners, making contact, presenting Bobyrå's mission and added value, and clearly demonstrating how the collaboration contributes to social sustainability. Through relationship-building, trust-creating dialogue, and follow-up, you create engagement among property owners that leads to more apartments being made available for Göteborgs Stadsmission.

We prefer that you have relevant education for the position. Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, such as mental health issues or homelessness, is a significant plus. Experience in property management or housing rental is also an advantage.

You have a B driver's license, good local knowledge, and are comfortable working in digital systems. You master Swedish in both spoken and written form and express yourself clearly, professionally, and trustworthily.
