Binar Handling AB develops and manufactures advanced electric lifting aids for the manufacturing industry, focusing on ergonomics, safety, and efficiency. About the Role

Binar Handling is now looking for a mechanical designer for the Customer Projects department. You will be part of a wonderful team and primarily work on the design of customized grippers for both national and international customers. The gripper is the link between the user and the part to be lifted. Ergonomics and safe lifting are the guiding principles in our development work.

As a designer at Binar Handling, you will have a central role with a lot of personal responsibility, close customer contact, and great freedom to manage your work. It is important that you can work towards deadlines and that you are meticulous and structured. The team you will belong to is a great group that helps each other to meet customer requests for the best ergonomics and productivity. Since the entire chain from sales to installation is under one roof, you will have close contact with both salespeople, toolmakers, and installers.

Responsibilities

• Design of customized grippers in SolidWorks

• Preparation of drawing documentation for manufacturing

• Drive parallel customer projects from start to delivery

• Participate in and hold FAT meetings with customers

• Collaboration with production, concept designers, and sales organization

You will be part of a team of designers, where you support each other while also driving your own projects independently.

Your Profile

To thrive and succeed in this role, we see that you have a genuine interest in mechanical design and enjoy seeing your ideas become real products in a short time.

We believe you have:

• A university degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent post-secondary education in a relevant field

• 2–3 years of experience in design and CAD (SolidWorks is a plus)

• Experience in designing welded sheet metal constructions is considered an advantage

• Good skills in 3D modeling

• The ability to work systematically towards timelines and deadlines

• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
