The client is a consulting company active in electrical power and automation solutions, delivering turnkey systems for electricity distribution, industry, as well as wind, solar, hydro, and thermal power plants, with projects both in Sweden and the rest of the Nordic region. They have specialist expertise in electrical power and automation solutions, and their Nordic presence enables the execution of projects that meet customer requirements for quality and functionality.

The company continuously works on developing and implementing electrical power facilities, focusing on high technical standards and industry-specific expertise.

The position is a direct recruitment, which means that the recruitment process is conducted through Futuria People, but you will be employed directly by the client.

About the position

As a designer in electrical power, you will be responsible for the electromechanical design of substation facilities within the voltage range of 40–400 kV. You will ensure that all technical solutions meet applicable standards, contracts, and legal requirements. In this role, you will work closely with project managers and other specialists to find effective, sustainable, and quality solutions.

The work also includes self-checking, reviewing colleagues' designs, and participating in bid work and project timeline planning.

Examples of tasks:

• Creating layouts for substations and buildings
• Designing portals, frames, and other components
• Dimensioning and laying cables
• Designing grounding solutions
• Providing documentation for earthworks, assembly, and construction work
• Reviewing technical documents from suppliers and partners

You will also contribute to the further development of the company's working methods, design processes, and tools for 3D and BIM.

We are looking for someone who

• Has 2-3 years of experience in primary design for transformer/reception stations (40–400 kV)
• Has experience with AutoCAD, Primtech, and/or MicroStation
• Speaks and writes Swedish fluently and has a good command of English
