The Coast Guard is a civil government preparedness authority responsible for maritime surveillance and rescue services at sea on behalf of the government and parliament. With our maritime capability, the Coast Guard is also an important authority in Sweden's total defense. An important part of the maritime surveillance mission is to ensure safety in Sweden's maritime zones. This is done, among other things, through crime prevention, monitoring, and maintaining order. The Coast Guard's rescue service mission includes a wide range of different rescue operations, including environmental rescue operations in the event of accidents or spills and rescue operations in the event of shipwrecks or emergencies.

Description
The Aviation Unit, which belongs to the operational department, is located at Skavsta Airport, Nyköping.
Under the aviation unit is the Aviation Coast Station, which is its own organizational part consisting of a station manager and personnel who make up the aircraft crews.
The Coast Guard's fleet consists of three DHC 8 Q-300 aircraft. The aircraft are equipped with several sophisticated monitoring systems and are among the world's most advanced civil aircraft for maritime surveillance. All of Sweden's waters are monitored by the aircraft, with a focus on the Swedish economic zone, territorial waters, and major shipping lanes. International agreements mean that we also occasionally fly in other countries' areas of responsibility.
The Coast Guard aviation operates under aviation safety conditions for state aviation issued and monitored by the Transport Agency.
We are now seeking a Safety Manager and Compliance Monitoring Manager for both flight operations and CAMO within the Aviation Unit. The tasks are performed in close collaboration with the Accountable Manager and Nominated Persons functions.
Responsibilities
As a Safety Manager, you will be the facilitator for the development, maintenance, and coordination of safety-related processes and tasks on behalf of the Accountable Manager.
Examples of responsibilities include:
- Developing, administering, and maintaining an effective Safety Management System.
- Promoting risk identification and risk analysis within the Coast Guard aviation.
- Being responsible for the incident reporting system and monitoring follow-up.
- Advising on aviation safety issues.
- Being responsible for the FDM program.
- Training and information within the Safety area.
As a Compliance Monitoring Manager, you have the delegated responsibility to develop and maintain the program for monitoring the organization's compliance with internal and external requirements.
Examples of responsibilities include:
- Establishing an audit plan that covers the entire operational area.
- Conducting internal audits to verify that rules and procedures have been documented and that all activities are performed according to the documentation.
- Taking corrective actions and verifying effectiveness.
- Continuous monitoring of regulatory changes affecting the operation.
- Training and informing within the Compliance area.
You are also responsible for ensuring that the program is correctly implemented, maintained, and continuously reviewed and improved.
