We at Lindholmen Technical High School are now seeking an engaged and driven teacher in history and social studies for a temporary position starting from the beginning of the spring term 2026 until the end of the spring term.

As a teacher with us, you will be part of an engaged team where you will have the opportunity to challenge and develop students' historical perspectives, social analytical skills, and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

You will plan, implement, and evaluate teaching according to the school's governing documents – both independently and in close collaboration with your work team. The teaching is for students in both the technology program and our vocational programs, in history and social studies.

Mentorship is included in the position, where you will work closely with your mentor colleague and the school's student health team. You will also contribute to the development of the school's teaching in the social sciences, focusing on democracy, sustainable development, source criticism, and students' understanding of historical and societal contexts.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license or is in the final stages of their teacher training, with qualifications to teach history and social studies. Previous experience teaching at the high school level is an advantage but not a requirement.

You have a genuine interest in social issues, history, and education. You have good digital competence and use digital tools as a natural part of teaching. You are engaged, attentive, and flexible, with the ability to adapt teaching to students' various needs and conditions.

You have a positive attitude and work in accordance with the school's values and governing documents. We place great importance on your personal qualities, especially your ability to inspire, collaborate, and take initiative.

This is a full-time position during the school year.
