We are looking for a Project Manager with expertise in bridges for Trafikverket, stationed in Umeå, Sundsvall, or Härnösand.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The assignment is located in the Structural Works unit, which is responsible for the maintenance of bridges, tunnels, embankments, and noise barriers in the northern region of Trafikverket. The assignment consists of project managing work on large bridges and other complex maintenance measures (design and production) in the northern region. The work includes project managing both emergency, remedial, and preventive maintenance for the aforementioned objects, as well as procuring and project managing design and contracts.

The project manager is part of a team of technical specialists, contracted consultants, and contractors. They are responsible for the overall leadership, direction, and follow-up of the project. The project manager should contribute motivation and inspiration within the project team to create a good working environment.

Responsibilities- in consultation with the client, distribute, implement, and follow up the project work in accordance with governing documents. - together with the project organization and central support resources, initiate, prepare, and be responsible for the implementation and follow-up of the project concerning time, cost, content, quality, safety, work environment, and environment. - establish necessary timelines for the project in collaboration with other project management resources - prepare calculations and budgets according to established procedures for the project. - be responsible for establishing necessary agreements with external stakeholders and parties. - ensure that necessary operational meetings are held. Examples include construction meetings, financial meetings, technical meetings, and design meetings. - lead periodic project meetings. - perform the work in collaboration and under the direction of the client. - follow up and drive the project concerning time, cost, and content. - ensure that norms, construction requirements, and regulations (general or client's) are followed by the designer and/or contractor. - provide technical advice. - maintain contact with the public as well as municipalities and other authorities.

Requirements (Mandatory)

a. Ability to express oneself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. b. Experience working in project groups where coordination has been important. c. B driver's license. d. At least 5 years of work experience as a project manager or equivalent in bridge maintenance. The work experience should not be older than 10 years. e. At least 2 years of work experience as a project manager or in a supervisory role in the maintenance of larger road bridges. f. Knowledge of laws and regulations as well as standards and guidelines in the relevant area. g. Completed training to function as the Client's construction work environment coordinator, BAS-P and BAS-U. h. Competence according to TDOK 2018:0371 APV, at least according to the requirements in Step 1.1 – General basic competence in APV. i. Have current practical knowledge of contract law in one or more of the areas AB/ABT/ABK and AMA. j. Experience using BaTMank. k. Ability to express oneself well in English, both orally and in writing.

Desirable

For the client, it is an added value if the offered project manager has experience as a project manager or equivalent in maintenance contracts within bridge maintenance, where predetermined and condition-based maintenance as well as remedial maintenance have been included.

For the client, it is an added value if the offered project manager has documented experience in project management involving multiple disciplines (infrastructure, road, railway, lighting, electrical power, control, and regulation).

For the client, it is an added value if the offered project manager has experience in hydraulic damper replacement on bridges.
