Cost Engineer at Skanska Road and Construction
At Skanska Road and Construction, we carry out various land, energy, and construction projects for businesses, government, and municipalities. We are working on a range of exciting projects and are now looking for a meticulous and dedicated cost engineer.

The Role of Cost Engineer
Working with cost estimation and bids at Skanska is exciting and challenging. The bids can sometimes be large and have complex technical challenges. You will have the opportunity to contribute creative solutions in this work related to environment, safety, and quality. You will work closely with project managers, the bidding team, and have contact with other cost engineers.
Your tasks will include:
- Quantity take-offs from drawings and 3D models
- Calculating direct and general costs
- Identifying and documenting risks, uncertainties, and opportunities
- Creating climate calculations
- Creating reports for different target groups
- Requesting quotes from subcontractors
- Participating in the district's marketing efforts
- Production support
- Bid schedules
Are you our new Cost Engineer?
We are looking for someone with a degree in construction engineering or equivalent vocational training and a few years of experience in road and construction projects. Experience with estimation software and quantity take-offs is an advantage. To succeed in this role, we see that you are structured, meticulous, and enjoy working independently while also liking to be part of a team.
For this role, you need:
- 3-5 years of production experience in land and construction projects
- Knowledge of AMA / MER
- Knowledge of contract law
- Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Good computer skills
- Driving license B
